The KG5045 uses an NPN normally open output. It is suitable for control systems using sinking-type sensor inputs. The sensing range is 8 mm and can be adjusted during setup. The real sensing range is 8 ±10%, with an operating distance of 0 to 6.5 mm. This provides flexible close-range material detection.
Operating voltage is 10 to 36 V DC. Current consumption is below 10 mA at 24 V and below 15 mA at 36 V. The output supports 250 mA continuous current and 50 Hz switching frequency. Short-circuit and overload protection are provided. Reverse polarity protection is also included.
The sensor uses an M18 × 1 threaded PBT housing with 84 mm length. It is non-flush mountable and protected to IP67. A yellow LED indicates switching status. The 2 m PVC cable uses three 0.34 mm² conductors. The threaded body provides secure mounting.
