The KD0012 provides a 60 mm sensing range for non-contact material detection. Its real sensing range is 60 ±10%. The operating distance is specified from 0 to 48.6 mm. Hysteresis is 1 to 15% of Sr. Correction factors are provided for water, glass, ceramics and PVC.
The sensor operates from 20 to 250 V AC/DC. It provides a normally open output with a continuous current rating of 200 mA. The maximum voltage drop is below 10 V AC and below 8 V DC. Switching frequency is 10 Hz. Short-circuit and overload protection are not integrated.
The KD0012 uses a rectangular plastic housing made from modified PPO. It is designed for non-flush installation and provides IP65 protection. The sensor has a yellow output-status LED. The 60 mm sensing range is useful where the target cannot be positioned close to the sensor. The capacitive principle allows non-contact detection of suitable materials. Adjustable sensing provides flexibility during installation. The rectangular housing supports stable machine mounting. This combination is suitable for tanks, containers and process equipment.
The two-wire AC/DC design simplifies the sensor interface. The 2 m PVC cable allows direct connection to the control circuit. A fast-acting miniature fuse is specified for external protection.
