The KD0009 provides a 60 mm sensing range for applications requiring greater detection distance. The sensing range can be adjusted through the integrated potentiometer. Its real sensing range is 60 ±10%, with an operating distance of 0 to 48.6 mm. Hysteresis is 1 to 15% of Sr. This makes the sensor suitable for large containers, tanks and bulk-material applications.
The sensor operates from 20 to 250 V AC/DC. It provides selectable normally open/normally closed output functionality. Continuous output current is 200 mA, with a short-time current rating of 1500 mA for 20 ms at 0.5 Hz. Switching frequency is 10 Hz for both AC and DC. Short-circuit and overload protection are not integrated.
The KD0009 uses a rectangular PPE-modified housing measuring 105 × 80 × 40 mm. It is designed for non-flush mounting and provides IP65 protection. Increased immunity improves resistance to conducted RF interference. A yellow LED provides switching-status indication. Terminal wiring supports conductors up to 2.5 mm² with an M20 × 1.5 cable gland.

The 60 mm sensing range allows the KD0009 to monitor targets from greater distances than compact capacitive sensors. This is useful for large containers and material-level applications. Adjustable sensing allows the switching point to be optimized during commissioning. The robust rectangular housing provides a stable mounting format. The sensor can therefore support larger-scale industrial detection tasks.
The combined AC/DC output allows the sensor to operate in different supply architectures. Selectable NO/NC functionality provides additional control flexibility. Terminal wiring accommodates industrial conductor sizes up to 2.5 mm². A fast-acting miniature fuse of up to 2 A is specified for protection. Because short-circuit and overload protection are not integrated, installation protection is important.
