The IFM CR2513 is a SmartModule I/O device providing 8 inputs and 4 outputs for R360 mobile-machine control systems. The CR2513 provides eight input channels divided into four digital and four analogue inputs. The analogue inputs can measure 0...10 V, 0...20 mA or ratiometric potentiometric signals. This enables connection to switches, sensors, joysticks and other analogue transmitters. The flexible input design makes the module suitable for different machine signal types. Sensor information can be collected locally and transmitted through the CANopen network. This helps reduce long cable runs in mobile machinery.
Four output channels can be configured as digital high-side outputs or PWM outputs. Each output can handle up to 4 A, with a maximum combined output current of 16 A. PWM frequency can be configured from 20...250 Hz. Integrated RC low-pass filter outputs are available for direct control of suitable Danfoss proportional valves. This allows the CR2513 to be used in hydraulic control applications. Short-circuit and overload protection provide additional electrical protection.
The CR2513 uses a closed screened metal housing designed for mobile-machine environments. Its IP67 protection rating helps protect the electronics from harsh environmental conditions when the connector is properly sealed. The device operates from 10...32 V DC and can withstand elevated voltage conditions for a limited duration. CANopen communication supports 10 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s baud rates.
