The IFM CR2033 is a compact metal I/O module designed for decentralized signal evaluation and actuator control in mobile machines. It provides 8 configurable inputs and 4 configurable outputs for digital, analogue and PWM applications. The module communicates through a CANopen interface and operates from a 10...32 V DC supply. Its IP67-rated metal housing makes it suitable for demanding mobile-machine environments.
Explore performance details, construction highlights, applications, and technical information in one clear overview.
The CR2033 enables sensors and actuators to be connected directly at the machine location instead of routing every signal back to a central controller. It provides eight configurable input channels for different types of field signals. Four inputs can be used as digital signals, while four analogue channels support voltage, current, ratiometric or digital operation. This flexibility allows the module to interface with switches, sensors, joysticks and other machine components. Signal processing can therefore be distributed throughout the machine architecture. The result is simplified wiring and flexible machine automation.
The module provides four configurable outputs for controlling actuators and proportional valves. Outputs can operate as positive-switching digital outputs or PWM channels. Each output can handle up to 4 A, while the total output current can reach 16 A. Diagnostic functionality helps monitor output operation and identify electrical problems. PWM functionality allows proportional control of suitable loads and valves. This makes the CR2033 suitable for hydraulic and electro-mechanical machine functions.
The CR2033 uses a die-cast zinc housing with an electrostatically coated surface for increased mechanical durability. IP67 protection helps protect the module against dust and water ingress when correctly connected. Communication is provided through a CAN interface supporting CANopen protocols. CAN communication allows the module to exchange process data with a central mobile-machine controller. The device operates from a 10...32 V DC supply and supports a wide range of mobile-machine electrical systems.
