Flat Capacitive Detection

The KQ6001 uses a compact rectangular design rather than a conventional cylindrical housing. This form factor is particularly useful for installation against containers and bypass pipes. Capacitive sensing enables detection of liquids and bulk materials through suitable non-metallic walls. The target does not need to physically contact the sensor. This provides flexible installation for level-monitoring systems.

Automatic Load Detection

A major feature of the KQ6001 is its open-collector switching output with automatic load detection. The sensor can detect whether the connected load requires DC PNP or DC NPN operation. This reduces the need to stock separate PNP and NPN versions for some installations. It also simplifies replacement and machine standardisation. The output can therefore be integrated into different control architectures.

IO-Link Integration

Installation Flexibility

The flat housing can be positioned directly against suitable non-metallic container walls. This can eliminate the need for direct contact between the sensor and process medium.
