The Throttle (Needle) Valve is a precision flow control device designed to regulate the speed of pneumatic devices by adjusting air pressure transmission. It enables continuous and fine-tuned control of airflow while the system is operating, allowing for smooth modulation of output force or motion in pneumatic actuators and other air-driven systems.
The valve body is constructed from PBT resin, a durable and chemically stable material suitable for general environmental conditions. The primary metal components are made from brass with electroless nickel plating, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-term performance under typical operating conditions.
For Free type models, the fitting part and the resin body rotate relative to each other, enabling manual adjustment of flow rate without disassembly. The valve features multiple connection options including metric male threads (M5x0.8), taper pipe male threads (R1/8, R1/4, R3/8, R1/2), UNF thread (10-32UNF), and NPT threads (NPT1/8, NPT1/4, NPT3/8, NPT1/2).
The valve is designed for operation with air as the fluid medium. It can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 0.9MPa or 1.0MPa and supports a maximum vacuum of -100kPa. The operating temperature range is from 0 to 60℃, ensuring no freezing under normal conditions.
Available in multiple sizes including φ4, φ6, φ8, φ10, and φ12 mm (equivalent to φ5/32, φ3/16, φ1/4, φ5/16, φ3/8, φ1/2 inches), the valve offers a range of options to match different system requirements. A clean-room package is available as an optional configuration, specifically suited for applications requiring sterile or contamination-free environments.
The valve is sealed using NBR rubber material, which provides reliable sealing under pneumatic conditions. The internal components are lubricated with fluorine-based grease and packaged in a clean room environment (equivalent to ISO class 6) after cleaning with clean air, ensuring high reliability in sensitive applications such as cleanroom flow control.
