The LMT121 is designed for point-level detection in hygienic process applications. It can handle liquids, viscous media and suitable powder-type materials. The compact 11 mm probe supports installation where a short sensing element is preferred. Its capacitive principle enables electronic detection without mechanical float mechanisms. The sensor is particularly useful in food, beverage and process-fluid equipment.
Two digital outputs provide flexible switching functionality. The outputs can be configured for normally open or normally closed operation. The LMT121 is factory configured for media with low water content. Its sensing technology allows different process media characteristics to be accommodated through parameterisation. The device is suited to both liquid and selected viscous or powder media. This flexibility reduces the need for different mechanical level-switch designs. IO-Link provides additional configuration options during commissioning.
The LMT121 supports ambient temperatures from -40 to 85 °C. Its process-medium temperature range reaches -40 to 100 °C. Short-duration exposure up to 150 °C is supported for approximately one hour. High ingress protection allows use in demanding cleaning environments. The robust construction is especially useful where frequent washdown is required.
