The S5-5-T1-30 is an M18 tubular photoelectric sensor designed specifically for detecting transparent objects. It uses a polarized retro-reflective optical principle with red LED emission, providing reliable detection of transparent targets when used with a suitable reflector.
The T1 optical function is optimized for transparent-object applications. The nominal sensing distance is 0.1 to 0.8 m on R2, making the sensor suitable for detecting transparent bottles, containers, films and other clear products on automated production and packaging lines.
The sensor uses an axial M18 optical arrangement, allowing the optical axis to align directly with the sensor body. This provides a conventional tubular installation format for machinery and automation equipment.
The S5-5-T1-30 uses a 2 m cable for electrical connection. The sensor operates from a 10 to 30 VDC supply and provides selectable NPN/PNP output operation with light/dark mode selection through the four-wire configuration.
The S5 series uses a rugged ABS plastic housing with a PMMA optical lens. IP67 protection provides resistance against dust and water ingress for industrial installation environments.
