The Hand Valve is a three-directional or two-directional control valve designed to turn the air supply to pneumatic equipment on and off. It provides precise manual control of compressed air flow, allowing operators to safely start or stop airflow to pneumatic devices. When closed, the three-directional valve discharges residual pressure, ensuring safe shutdown conditions and preventing unintended operation.
The valve’s main resin components are manufactured from PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), a standard resin well-suited for general environmental conditions. The primary metal parts are constructed from brass with electroless nickel plating, offering corrosion resistance and durability in typical industrial settings. The sealing elements utilize NBR (nitrile rubber), which is effective as a sealing material but has limited ozone resistance.
The Hand Valve offers four connection types to accommodate various installation requirements: taper pipe threads (R1/8, R1/4, R3/8, R1/2) and NPT threads (NPT1/8, NPT1/4, NPT3/8, NPT1/2). This flexibility allows the valve to be integrated into a wide range of pneumatic systems with different pipe fittings.
The valve is rated for operation with air as the fluid medium. It can handle a maximum operating pressure of 1.0 MPa and withstands a maximum vacuum of -100 kPa. The operating temperature range is from 0°C to 60°C, ensuring reliable performance in non-freezing environments.
Available in multiple sizes, the Hand Valve offers metric diameters of φ4, φ6, φ8, φ10, and φ12 mm, corresponding to inch sizes of φ3/16", φ1/4", φ5/16", φ3/8", φ1/2", and φ5/32". These size options ensure compatibility with a broad range of pneumatic systems and equipment.
Installation is straightforward due to the valve’s direct interface with standard pipe threads. The threaded connections—whether taper or NPT—are designed for secure, leak-free integration into existing pneumatic lines, enabling safe adjustment or maintenance without requiring complex modifications.
