The PI1718 is designed for applications requiring accurate low-pressure and vacuum measurement. Its measuring range is -50…400 mbar. The sensor can detect both relative pressure and vacuum conditions. The pressure measuring cell is based on 99.9% Al₂O₃ ceramic. This makes the sensor suitable for sensitive pressure monitoring in hygienic process systems.
In addition to pressure, the PI1718 provides temperature measurement from -25…150 °C. Temperature information can be transmitted through IO-Link. The temperature measurement has a resolution of 0.2 K. Its dynamic response is specified with T05/T09 values below 45/200 seconds under the stated test conditions. This enables combined pressure and thermal monitoring from one process device.
The PI1718 uses a G1 Aseptoflex Vario external thread with a flush sealing contour. Wetted materials include ceramic, stainless steel 316L/1.4435, and PTFE. The process connection has a specified surface characteristic of Ra <0.4 µm / Rz 4 µm. The sensor supports medium temperatures up to 150 °C.
