The IFM LT3022 is an electronic level and temperature sensor designed for monitoring liquid levels and temperature in industrial fluid systems. The LT3022 provides reliable continuous level measurement using an electronic sensing probe. Its 264 mm probe has an active range of 195 mm for practical tank monitoring. Level set and reset points can be configured in 5 mm increments. The sensor provides a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V analogue signal for integration with control systems. IO-Link enables parameterisation, diagnostics and process-data access.
The sensor also monitors medium temperature over a range of -20 to 90 °C. Temperature switching points can be configured in 0.5 °C increments. The specified temperature switch-point accuracy is ±1.5 K. This allows the LT3022 to combine two important process measurements in one device. It is particularly useful where fluid level and thermal condition need to be monitored together.
The LT3022 operates from 18–30 V DC and uses PNP/NPN output technology. Its switching output supports up to 200 mA, while the analogue output can provide either 4–20 mA or 0–10 V. The four-digit alphanumeric display provides direct process-value and parameter information. Four green LEDs indicate selectable units such as centimetres, inches, °C and °F. Programming buttons are provided directly on the sensor. Parameters include hysteresis, switching logic, analogue output type and level set/reset points. This provides convenient commissioning without requiring a separate display device.
The LT3022 uses stainless-steel and polymer construction suitable for industrial fluid applications. The device has IP67 protection and is designed for ambient temperatures from 0 to 60 °C. It withstands shock up to 15 g and vibration up to 5 g over 10–2000 Hz. A standard four-pin M12 A-coded connector provides the electrical interface.
