E21319 uses the through-beam sensing principle for reliable detection of objects interrupting the optical path. It is compatible with OBF, OCF and OO50 fibre-optic amplifiers. The specified ranges are 210 mm with OBF, 4000 mm with OCF High Power and 600 mm with OO50. These options allow the sensor to be used across different machine configurations. Through-beam sensing is especially useful for reliable object presence and passage detection.
The sensing head is angled and incorporates an M4 thread with a 15.5 mm head length. The threaded interface supports secure installation into machine structures. The angled head allows easier positioning when the sensing location is not directly accessible. This can simplify sensor alignment around conveyors, guides and machine frames. The compact head design also reduces the space required around the sensing point.
E21319 uses a 2000 mm PMMA fibre assembly with a minimum bending radius of 2 mm. The fibre head is manufactured from stainless steel 303 / 1.4305 and the sheath uses PE material. The sensor operates from -40 to 70°C and weighs approximately 48.6 g. Four M4 hexagon nuts and four tooth lock washers are supplied. An E20600 fibre optic cutter is available as an optional accessory.
