Explore performance details, construction highlights, applications, and technical information in one clear overview.
The Check Valve with Low Cracking Pressure is designed to allow airflow in one direction while preventing reverse flow, enabling secure air flow at very low pressure levels. Unlike conventional check valves that require higher differential pressures to open, this valve operates effectively at significantly lower pressures—starting as low as 5kPa (0.005MPa)—making it ideal for applications where minimal pressure differentials are present.
The valve's main resin components are constructed from PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), a standard engineering plastic well-suited for general environmental conditions. The primary metal parts, including the body and housing, are made from brass with electroless nickel plating, providing enhanced corrosion resistance and durability in typical industrial settings.
The valve features a range of available sizes, both in metric and inch dimensions. Available metric sizes include φ4, φ6, φ8, φ10, and φ12 mm, corresponding to inch sizes of φ5/32, φ1/4, φ5/16, φ3/8, and φ1/2. These standardized sizes ensure compatibility with a wide range of piping systems and equipment.
This check valve operates within a differential pressure range where the minimum opening pressure is as low as 5kPa (0.005MPa), significantly lower than conventional valves that typically require at least 10kPa (0.01MPa). The operating temperature range is from 0°C to 60°C, with no freezing risk. It is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 1.0MPa and can withstand a maximum vacuum of -100kPa.
The seal components utilize two rubber materials: HNBR (hydrogenated NBR) and FKM (fluoroelastomer). HNBR offers improved ozone resistance for low-concentration ozone environments, while FKM provides superior performance in heat, chemical, and ozone resistance. This dual-material approach ensures reliable sealing under a variety of environmental conditions.
The valve is designed to integrate directly into air-handling systems where low-pressure flow control is required. Its low cracking pressure allows for immediate response to small pressure differentials, reducing noise generation compared to conventional check valves and ensuring smooth, quiet operation during service.
