The Vacuum Generator VUM is a compact, air-driven vacuum source designed to create suction for picking up and transferring workpieces using vacuum pads. It operates by converting compressed air into vacuum through a single air line connection, making it ideal for automated or semi-automated handling systems where precise positioning and material transfer are required.
The unit features PBT resin for its main structural components, a durable and reliable material suitable for general industrial environments. Critical metal parts, including housings and internal fittings, are constructed from brass with electroless nickel plating to ensure corrosion resistance and long-term performance under typical operating conditions.
The VUM connects directly via a single air line to the vacuum pad system. It is specifically designed to be mounted on small pad holders such as the VPMB, enabling seamless integration into existing handling setups without requiring additional piping or complex configurations.
The generator operates with an air medium and is rated for an operating pressure range of 0.15 to 0.7 MPa. It performs optimally at a rated supply pressure of 0.5 MPa (H, L type) or 0.35 MPa (E type). The unit can function within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 60°C, with no freezing expected under normal use.
Available in multiple metric sizes: φ1.8, φ3, φ4 and φ3, φ4, with a standard inch size of φ5/32". The unit is offered in different configurations based on pressure requirements—H and L types at 0.5 MPa, and E type at 0.35 MPa—allowing selection depending on system specifications.
The VUM supports direct mounting via M3x0.5 or M5x0.8 metric male threads, as well as UNF 10-32UNF male thread connections, enabling compatibility with a range of industrial fixtures and automation systems.
