The Vacuum Generator VG Ozone-Proof is a multitasking vacuum generator designed for integration into industrial systems requiring reliable vacuum generation and pressure monitoring. As a manifold-type unit, it combines multiple components—including pressure sensors, blow-off valves, and control elements—into a single, compact assembly. This design simplifies system architecture by eliminating the need for external components, enabling efficient operation in applications such as pneumatic conveying, automated packaging, or process vacuum control.
The unit is constructed from PVFM (polyvinyl formal) material throughout its core elements, providing excellent resistance to ozone and chemical degradation. This makes it specifically suitable for environments where exposure to reactive gases or oxidizing agents may occur. All internal components are sealed to ensure long-term performance under harsh conditions, with the air supply and vacuum circuits protected against environmental stress.
The Vacuum Generator features a modular configuration that allows selection of pressure sensor types based on application needs. Three distinct output options are available: switch output with both analog and switch signals, two-point switch output, or a low-cost analog-output-only type. The sensor uses a diffused semiconductor technology for accurate pressure detection and is integrated directly into the unit’s control system.
The generator operates within an air medium compliant with JIS B 8392-1 (Class 1.2.1 to 2.4.3). It functions over a pressure range of 0.25 to 0.7 MPa and is rated for operating temperatures between 5°C and 50°C, with no freezing risk. Humidity performance spans 35% to 85% RH without dew condensation. The unit has a proof pressure of 1.05 MPa in the air supply circuit and 0.2 MPa in the vacuum circuit. It operates on either 24 VDC ±10%, 100 VAC ±10%, or 12 to 24 VDC ±10% with ripple no greater than 10% (P-P).
The unit is available in a single standard configuration with one or two switch output points. Output types include NPN open collector, with a maximum output of 30 V and 80 mA, and a residual voltage not exceeding 0.8 V. The pressure setting range for the switch outputs is from 0 to -100 kPa. Operating accuracy is specified at ±3% F.S. under standard conditions of 25°C. All variants share identical physical dimensions and performance characteristics.
The vacuum generator supports direct integration into existing pneumatic systems via a standard manifold interface. It operates in indirect mode using a pilot valve or as a directly operated poppet valve, with the valve type being normally closed. The unit is designed for use with standard 24 VDC or 100 VAC control circuits and includes built-in response times: OFF→ON takes 12 msec (24 VDC) or 15 msec (100 VAC), while ON→OFF takes 20 msec (24 VDC) or 27 msec (100 VAC). Current consumption is either 17 mA, 25 mA, or 15 mA depending on configuration.
