The Teflon butterfly valve FA - 2 inch is the DN50 version of UNITECH S.R.L.’s FA split-body PTFE-lined butterfly valve. It is designed for reliable isolation of food-process and corrosive fluids where PTFE compatibility and reduced mechanical play between the disc and shaft are valuable.
A defining feature of the FA design is the single-piece disc-and-shaft construction. This arrangement eliminates the normal play between separate disc and shaft components. PTFE coating extends from the disc onto part of the shaft, providing a continuous corrosion-resistant surface in the wetted region.
The FA family covers DN32-DN600 with PN10, PN16 and ANSI 150 pressure classes. The standard published temperature range is -10 to +150 °C. The technical declaration states special executions can reach 180 °C, while the standard PTFE configuration is rated to 150 °C. The DN50 datasheet specifies PTFE disc thickness of 4 mm and seat thickness of 3 mm for DN50-DN100, with maximum differential pressure of 1 MPa for the published configuration.
Body options include EN1563 JS1030 ductile iron, EN10619 WCB carbon steel and EN1.4408 AISI 316 stainless steel. Disc options include AISI 316, mirror-polished AISI 316 and PTFE + AISI 316. The seat is PTFE. This range allows the valve to be configured around different process-fluid compatibility requirements.
FA valves can be manually operated with a lever or handwheel gearbox and can be automated through ISO 5211 mounting using pneumatic DB or electric MV actuators. Optional accessories include mechanical or inductive limit switches, column extensions, chain-operated handwheels, emergency handwheels, 4-20 mA feedback, local position indication, fail-safe execution and 4-20 mA / 0-10 V positioning.
Suitable applications include industrial, water-treatment, chemical and food-industry applications. FA “Q” ATEX execution is available on request for suitable explosive-atmosphere applications. The product documentation states PED class III applicability and ATEX zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 for applicable configurations.
