The SM Butterfly Valve - 2 inch corresponds to DN50 in UNITECH S.R.L.’s SM high-temperature butterfly valve range. The SM range includes SM70 and SM73 versions. Because SM70 begins at DN50 while SM73 begins at DN150, the 2-inch entry maps to the SM70 configuration.
SM70 covers DN50-DN1500 with a maximum operating temperature of 300 °C. Maximum service pressure is 3 bar, with the actual allowable value dependent on nominal diameter and operating temperature. SM73 covers DN150-DN1500 and is designed for higher-temperature duties up to 1100 °C, so it is not the DN50 configuration.
SM valves are available in wafer, lug and double-flange executions. Body and disc materials include carbon steel S275JR, EN 1.4308 / AISI 304, EN 1.4408 / AISI 316 and AISI 321. The seat is metal-to-metal, making the design appropriate for high-temperature fume and fluid isolation where conventional elastomer seats may not be suitable.
The SM family can be supplied with a manual lever or handwheel gearbox. ISO 5211 actuator connections permit integration with pneumatic DB or electric MV actuators. Optional automation accessories include emergency handwheel, mechanical limit switches, potentiometric or 4-20 mA feedback, local position indication, fail-safe execution and 4-20 mA / 0-10 V positioners.
UNITECH identifies SM valves for ventilation and air-conditioning systems, naval installations, chemical processing, water treatment, exhaust fumes and gases, industrial installations, waste treatment and petrochemical service. ATEX use is also stated for applicable configurations.
The technical datasheet lists DN50 dimensions of H 120 mm, H1 64 mm, L 11 mm, an 11 × 11 mm stem/interface dimension and ISO 5211 F05. These values should be read as the published DN50 dimensional data for the SM range.
