The Mechanical Pressure Sensor is PISCO's mechanical vacuum-sensing configuration for applications where a simple adjustable switch is preferred over an electronic pressure sensor. It uses a diaphragm-to-microswitch pressure-detection principle.
The sensor provides a stepless pressure-setting adjustment by nut rotation and a common/N.O./N.C. switch terminal arrangement. PISCO also specifies selectable tube and fitting arrangements for integration with vacuum equipment.
The official PISCO vacuum-module catalog specifies a pressure setting range of -20 to -80kPa, ±4kPa accuracy and maximum 16kPa hysteresis. The factory setting is approximately -50kPa, and the specified microswitch rating is 7A at 250V AC.
Install the sensor with the appropriate air/vacuum port configuration and adjust the switching pressure using the setting nut. Confirm the product circuit is at zero pressure before releasing any connected tube.
