The Butterfly valve HF3 - 2 inch is the DN50 configuration of UNITECH S.R.L.’s HF3 triple-eccentric butterfly valve family. The design is intended for demanding isolation duties where reliable shut-off, reduced friction and high-temperature capability are important. The triple-offset geometry separates the disc, shaft and sealing-cone axes to minimize rubbing during operation.
The manufacturer describes three distinct offsets. The disc axis is displaced from the disc’s rotational center to maintain contact across the sealing surface; the rotation axis is displaced from the valve axis to reduce opening friction; and the conical sealing-axis offset reduces the risk of sticking. This arrangement provides bidirectional sealing and is particularly suited to steam and gas service.
The HF3 family covers DN50-DN300 and pressure classes PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40 and ANSI 150/300. The valve supports operating temperatures up to 550 °C. For DN50, the datasheet lists Kv 100 m³/h, face-to-face L 43 mm, H1 160 mm and ISO 5211 F07.
Body and disc options include EN 1.4408 / AISI 316 stainless steel and EN 1.0619 / WCB carbon steel. Seat/sealing materials include PTFE, stainless steel EN 1.4408 and graphite. The datasheet also identifies 17-4PH shaft material and RPTFE sealing components for the published construction. Material combinations should be selected for the actual medium and temperature.
HF3 is positioned for petrochemical, chemical and cryogenic applications and for isolation of steam and gases. It can also be applied in naval, food, industrial, water-treatment, exhaust-gas, HVAC and fire-protection systems. Applicable configurations are available for PED class I and ATEX zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
Available executions are wafer, lug and double flange. The datasheet references EN 12516, EN 593, ISO 5211, EN 558, EN 1092, API 609 and ANSI B16.5 for construction and API 598 for sealing/testing. ISO 5211 mounting supports actuator integration.
