The SG4-DONGLE is an Ethernet communication interface designed for Datasensing SG4 Extended Type 4 safety light curtains. It provides a direct interface between the safety light curtain and a networked PC, enabling configuration, programming, monitoring and diagnostic functions through Ethernet TCP/IP.
When connected to an SG4 Extended receiver, the dongle enables access to the SG4 Extended graphical user interface for complete parameterisation and system monitoring. It supports configuration cloning as well as error and configuration logging, helping simplify commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance.
The SG4 Extended platform supports advanced safety functions including integrated muting, floating blanking, fixed blanking and reduced resolution. With the SG4-DONGLE connected to the receiver, the same interface can support both muting and blanking configurations without requiring the receiver pigtail cable.
The interface uses Ethernet TCP/IP and is equipped with M12 connections for integration with the SG4 Extended safety light curtain and Ethernet communication infrastructure. The compact interface is protected to IP65 and is suitable for industrial safety applications where configuration access and diagnostics are required.
