Explore performance details, construction highlights, applications, and technical information in one clear overview.
The FLOWSIC600-XT is an ultrasonic gas flow meter designed for custody transfer measurement of natural gas, gas transport and storage, and demanding gas production applications. The official SICK product data sheet also documents natural-gas measurement with up to 30 % H2 and applications involving increased levels of CO2, N2, H2S, O2 and H2.
The meter uses ultrasonic transit time difference measurement. Depending on the version, the system provides 2, 4, 4+1, 4+4 or 8 measuring paths. Documented measured values include volumetric flow at actual conditions, volume at actual conditions, gas velocity and speed of sound, with optional volume correction through an integrated electronic volume corrector.
Typical repeatability is documented as ≤0.05 % of the measured value. The official data sheet provides configuration-dependent accuracy limits for the 4-path and 8-path versions, including dry-calibrated and flow-calibrated conditions. i-diagnostics™ provides integrated device diagnostics and advanced application diagnostics through FLOWgate™ operating software.
Depending on the configuration and nominal pipe size, the documented measuring range extends from Qmin values through Qmax values up to 120,000 m³/h. Operating pressure is documented from 0 bar(g) to 450 bar(g). Optional gas-temperature ranges are documented from −46 °C to +180 °C and from −194 °C to +280 °C. Straight-piping requirements depend on measuring-path count and applicable OIML performance class.
