The CR3133 provides wireless connectivity to CAN-based mobile-machine systems. It can be used for local service access, diagnostics and wireless machine communication. The external antenna connection allows the radio antenna to be positioned appropriately for the machine installation. Two CAN interfaces are available in the current CANwireless architecture. This enables data from different CAN networks to be exchanged through the wireless system. The module is suitable for machine-to-machine and machine-to-service communication.
The CR3133 supports WLAN communication together with Bluetooth Low Energy. Wireless connectivity enables service personnel to access machine information without connecting directly to the CAN wiring. Local wireless networking can also be used for exchanging selected machine data between compatible machines. The device can participate in wireless mesh-type communication architectures.
